Best Ever Double Chocolate Chip Cookies








ingredients

  • 1 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
  • 1 ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ½ cup cocoa powder
  • 2 ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups of chocolate chips I used Jumbo Guittard milk chocolate chips





Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Mix butter and sugar and beat for 2-3 minutes until fluffy. Mix the eggs one by one. Add the cocoa powder. By hand, add the flour, salt and baking powder until they are incorporated. Do not overwork the dough. Add the chocolate chips.
  • Divide the dough into 12 to 15 pieces and roll it into balls. Flatten slightly and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 to 13 minutes. Be careful not to overcook, otherwise the cookies will dry out. I would remove them the minute the tops no longer seem slimy.
